Collection: Finger Pulse Oximeters

Finger Pulse Oximeters - Adult, Pediatric

Finger pulse oximeters, also known as finger oxygen readers, fingertip oximeters, or finger oxygen sensors, are essential medical devices designed for noninvasive monitoring of blood oxygen saturation levels and heart rate. These compact instruments are typically attached to a person's finger, toe, earlobe, or nose bridge using a clamp mechanism.

The finger pulse oximeter utilizes light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to emit light waves through the tissue, and a photodetector detects the amount of light that passes through. Based on the differential absorption of light by oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin in the blood, the device calculates the oxygen saturation level, expressed as SpO2 (peripheral oxygen saturation). Additionally, the pulse oximeter measures the heart rate or beats per minute (BPM) by detecting pulsatile blood flow.
